COVID-19 Update as of February 14: New Cases 36,501, Active Cases 375,857

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 440,198 specimens were examined with the results of 36,501 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,844,279 people and active cases have increased by 23,018 to 375,857 cases", said Ministry of Health data on Monday, February 14.

Today's recovered cases increased by 13,338 cases, bringing the total to 4,323,101 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 145 people and a total of 145,321 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 10,275 cases and a total of 1,073,483 cases. Followed by West Java with 8,333 new cases with a total of 841,626 cases. Banten has 4,006 new cases and a total of 210,725 cases. Then, East Java with 3,885 new cases and a total of 444,683 cases.

Banten has the most recovered cases today, with an additional 3,665 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 3,023 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 2,093 recovered cases, and Bali with an additional 1,686 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 77,856,000.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 16.04 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 22,227 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 188,338,544 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 135,814,029 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 7,059,145. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
