COVID-19 Spike Occurs In Bali, Referral Hospital Claimed By Deputy Governor Cok Ace Is Still Filled With 8 Percent
DENPASAR - Deputy Governor, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati or Cok Ace, explained the implementation of Level 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Bali.
Cok Ace explained that the implementation of PPKM level 3 in Bali follows the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Imendagri) Number 9, 2022 concerning PPKM. According to him, the Minister of Home Affairs stated that Bali was included in PPKM level 3.
"In addition, the implementation of PPKM level 3 in Bali is also a government step to control the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19", said Cok Ace in Denpasar, Friday, February 12.
Meanwhile, the development of active cases in Bali is experiencing a spike. However, Cok Ace is optimistic that various preparations have been made by the government to control the spread of COVID-19.
"We already have 63 COVID-19 referral hospitals with 6,000 health workers who are ready to serve COVID-19 patients", he added.
In addition, the occupancy of referral hospitals is still quite low at 8 percent. In contrast to the Delta variant wave in the middle of last year, which made the hospital bed occupancy rate (BOR) reach 80 percent.
"This is because the omicron variant spreads quickly but with a low mortality rate, in contrast to Delta. However, we still need to be vigilant", he said.
