NTT Ombudsman Value Dismissal Of Village Apparatus In TTS-Malacca Is Not According To Procedure
KUPANG - The Head of the Ombudsman for the Representative of the Province of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Darius Beda Daton highlighted the process of dismissing village officials in several areas that did not comply with the procedures in the legislation.
"We received many complaints about the appointment and dismissal of village officials in several villages, in the districts of Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS) and Malacca, which were not procedural. This has become a problem that has arisen in the village," Darius said when contacted by Antara in Kupang, Thursday, 10 February.
The procedure for the appointment and dismissal of village officials is clearly regulated in Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages.
In addition, it is also regulated in Minister of Home Affairs Regulation (Permendagri) Number 83 of 2015 as amended by Permendagri Number 67 of 2017 concerning Amendments to Permendagri Number 83 of 2015 concerning Appointment and Dismissal of Village Apparatus.
Article 53 of the Permendagri clearly contains a number of provisions related to the appointment and dismissal of village officials. "So it's not because the village head is new, then he has to replace his village apparatus," he said.
He asked all village heads in NTT Province to comply with applicable regulations
Regarding the complaints received from several villages, his party has submitted corrective suggestions in the Final Audit Results Report issued.
He asked the village apparatus, which had been appointed through a mechanism that did not comply with the procedure, to be annulled. Likewise, the dismissal of village officials who are not procedural.
"The rules are clear, so we hope the village heads obey them so they don't create new problems in the village which actually hinder development in the village," said Darius.
