House Intelligence Records Arrival Of Militants Trained By British Instructors At Donbass Ukraine-Russia Border
JAKARTA - Intelligence of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) recorded the arrival of militants on the Donbass, Ukraine-Russia border who were trained by British instructors, Kyiv formed an attack team from them, Deputy Head of the People's Militia of the House of Representatives Eduard Basurin said at a briefing on Monday.
"Two units of militants from the Right Sector, numbering 70 to 80 people each, have arrived at the 54th and 56th separate mechanized infantry brigades. All the militants have combat experience and are trained by British instructors," said Basuri, citing TASS February 7th.
"They are distributed among the units of the 54th and 56th brigades occupying positions in the first echelon, in the northern and western approaches to Donetsk," he stressed.
According to Basurin, the attack group was intended for combat operations in urban areas. "Ukrainian Command not only strengthened its grouping near the capital of the DPR, but also formed a team of ideologically motivated nationalist attackers who had to fight in the city and carry out their duties regardless of civilian deaths," he said.
In addition, DPR intelligence also received information about the arrival of Polish mercenaries in the so-called operation zone of the Ukrainian armed forces, Basurin said at the briefing.
"In the area of the Popasnaya community, the presence of two armed groups totaling up to twenty people in mixed tactical uniforms was noted. During additional reconnaissance, it was discovered that the men spoke Polish and arrived to carry out tasks within the zone of responsibility of the 24th mechanized brigade Their aim is to carry out selective special guerrilla operations and acts of terror together with units of Ukrainian forces, aimed at crippling vital and social infrastructure and intimidating the local population," he explained.
The DPR thinks that before the Ukrainian army attack, the mercenaries will try to cause as much damage as possible to civilian infrastructure facilities, forcing them to take countermeasures, thereby justifying the Ukrainian side before the global community, as an excuse for military action.
He said Polish mercenaries had arrived under the guise of instructors sent to train the Ukrainian military. He also drew attention to recent statements from Warsaw about plans to supply weapons to Kiev, noting that these statements "did not contribute to peace and stability, but provoked an escalation of the situation and prompted Kiev to initiate a genocide of the Donbass population."
In addition he also said that DPR intelligence reported a large number of coronavirus cases among the Kiev troops in Donbass. Due to the absence of medicine, they did not receive any medical treatment. "At least six soldiers died, these facts are hidden," said Basurin.
