The Minister Of Religion Also Talks, PPKM Level 2 Regions Can Hold PTM With 50 Percent Of Students
JAKARTA - Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas emphasized that regions with the status of implementing community activity restrictions (PPKM) level 2 can hold limited face-to-face learning (PTM) with 50 percent of participants from room capacity.
"I have issued a new circular. Limited PTM can be carried out with the number of students 50 percent of the room capacity in education units in the PPKM level 2 area," said Minister of Religion Yaqut in a written statement quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 3.
The Minister of Religion said that the regulation was contained in the Circular Letter of the Minister of Religion Number SE.03 of 2022 concerning the Discretion for the Implementation of the Joint Decree of the Four Ministers concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Learning in the Time of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
According to the Minister of Religion, the circular dated February 3, 2022, was issued as a guide that regulates the discretion to implement the Joint Decree of the Four Ministers.
Discretion, he said, was given by considering the recent increase in cases of COVID-19 transmission.
The granting of this discretion, according to Yaqut, has also become an agreement between the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, the Ministry of Religion, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
"For the implementation of PTM, it is limited to education units in the PPKM area at level 1, level 3, and level 4, still following the provisions as stipulated in the Joint Decree of the Four Ministers," said the Minister of Religion.
The circular, he said, also stipulates the temporary suspension of PTM is limited to education units. It is stated in the circular that the temporary suspension of PTM will still follow the provisions as stipulated in the Joint Decree of the Four Ministers.
"Parents/guardians of students are given the option to allow their children to take part in limited PTM or distance learning (PJJ)," said the Minister of Religion, affirming.
The Minister of Religion asked the head of the provincial MoRA regional office and the regency/city MoRA office to cooperate with the regional government in supervising and providing guidance on the implementation of limited PTM.
He conveyed that the monitoring process must ensure the implementation of strict health protocols by the education unit. Supervision is also related to the implementation of behavioral surveillance of compliance with health protocols and epidemiological surveillance in education units.
"I also ask the provincial office and the district/city Ministry of Religion to oversee the acceleration of COVID-19 vaccination for educators, education staff and students," said the Minister of Religion.
In addition, he continued, the provincial office and the district/municipality Ministry of Religion must also ensure the temporary suspension of limited PTM based on the results of epidemiological surveillance, in accordance with the provisions in the Joint Decree of the Four Ministers.
