COVID-19 Update As Of February 2: New Cases Reach 17,895, Accumulated 4,387,286 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 354,191 specimens were examined with the results of 17,859 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,387,286 people and active cases have increased by 12,760 to 94,760 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, February 2.

Today's recovered cases increased by 5,110 cases, bringing the total to 4,148,804 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 25 people and the total was 144,373 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 9,132 cases and a total of 928,875 cases. Followed by West Java with 3,739 new cases with a total of 734,845 cases. Banten has 2,451 new cases and a total of 150,914 cases. Then, Bali with 771 new cases and a total of 117,986 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 4,185 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 301 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 224 recovered cases. And West Java with an additional 164 cases recovered

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 72,685,557.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 3.12 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 12,482 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 185,237,546 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 128,737,666 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

Meanwhile, the third dose of vaccination is 4,527,675. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
