Serang City Police Continues Investigation Process On Rape Case Of Disabled Girl That Was Stopped

SERANG KOTA – The case of rape of a girl with a disability has been continued by the Serang City Police. This step was taken in accordance with the recommendation of a special case title by the Serang City Police, assisted by the Banten Police Bidpropam, the Investigation Supervision Section (Bagwasidik) of the Banten Police Ditreskrimum and the Banten Police Bidkum, last Tuesday, January 25.

The case was held again specifically at the Serang City Police since Friday, January 28 with two stages of case titles. The first stage was attended by the media and the reporting party as well as the reported party, and the second stage was conducted internally.

The investigation was finally re-opened today, Saturday, January 29, by the Serang City Police by issuing a further investigation order.

It is known that the initial investigation into the case of the rape of a disabled girl has been stopped by the Serang City Police. However, this has caused reactions and opinions from the public.

"In order to fulfill the community's sense of justice, the Serang City Police Satreskrim investigators will complete the filing of the two suspects in the alleged rape case," said Serang City Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP David Adhi in a message received on Saturday, January 29.

The investigation process was reopened on the basis of a special case which was carried out on the basis of Perpol Number 8 of 2021 concerning Handling of Crimes Based on Restorative Justice and Perkap Number 12 of 2009 concerning Supervision and Control of Criminal Case Handling within the Indonesian National Police.
