JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital together with several other Ministries/Institutions will expand the trial of the implementation of a digital social protection system (perlinsos) based on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), for the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT).

The DPI system itself is supported by two components, namely the Digital Population Identity (IKD) which is supported by the Ministry of Home Affairs to increase the accuracy of the verification process of the identity of the beneficiary, and the Government Service Connection System (SPLP) which is supported by the Ministry of Komdigi to facilitate the exchange of data between government agencies. run faster and more integrated.

Through this digitization system, the government hopes that the distribution of social assistance (bansos), ranging from the registration process, verification of eligibility, submission of objections, to follow-up on the results of objections can run more transparent and accountable.

"Thus, the process of distributing social assistance is expected to be more orderly, transparent, fast, and fair, because everything is based on data and systems. The ultimate goal is simple, namely that eligible people should not be missed and people who no longer meet the criteria do not receive assistance," said Director General of Digital Government Technology, Ministry of Communication and Digital, Mira Tayyiba in a press conference on Tuesday, May 26 in Jakarta.

After Banyuwangi, the government will begin expanding the piloting or trial of the digital social assistance system to 42 regencies/cities with a coverage of around 36 million people, starting in June 2026.

"The success of the socialization of digitalization needs to be supported by readiness at the regional level. The capacity of field officers and the active participation of the community. Therefore, Komdigi together with relevant ministries/institutions, continues to strengthen coordination with regional governments in the expansion area so that their readiness can be optimal," added Mira.

Mira also emphasized that the digitization of social assistance would run as one ecosystem. The Ministry of Social Affairs as the owner of the program, Bappenas will ensure data governance, the Ministry of Home Affairs to strengthen the identity of digital population, Komdigi will act as a facilitator for data exchange, and BSSN will monitor the security of data exchange.

Not to forget, the owners of sectoral data such as the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Central Statistics Agency, State Civil Service Agency, PLN, BPJS, to the National Police Corps will also be tasked with providing supporting data to strengthen verification.

"This is what we will build, digitization is not just an application, but a digital government ecosystem that works together for more targeted public services," he concluded.
