OpenAI Launches GPT-5.4 with Lower Level of Hallucinations

JAKARTA - OpenAI introduced GPT-5.4, the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) model for ChatGPT. This model is available in two versions, namely the Thinking and Pro version for professional needs.

There are many improvements in this latest model, one of which is the ability to use the computer independently and natively. GPT-5.4 can operate mouse commands as well as a keyboard to run complex workflows in various applications.

This model also has a very large context window up to one million tokens. This capacity allows the system to plan and verify tasks over very long periods of time.

In OpenAI's internal testing, GPT-5.4 showed significant improvement on the spreadsheet modeling task. Its accuracy score reached 87.3 percent in completing a complex investment banking analysis task.

The visual capabilities of this model have also been improved to support high-resolution images of up to 10.24 million pixels. This provides better accuracy in image understanding as well as click localization on the software interface.

GPT-5.4 is claimed to be the most factual model because it has a much lower level of hallucination. OpenAI claims that this model is 33 percent less likely to be wrong than the previous version of GPT-5.2.

Another ability of GPT-5.4 is the ability to conduct in-depth web research, especially for specific information searches. This model is able to perform multiple searches to synthesize answers from various different web sources.

For developers, this model supports code writing through libraries such as Playwright for system automation. Developers can also customize the security confirmation policy according to the desired risk tolerance level.

The temperature cooling system or the efficiency of using tokens in this model is also better than the previous generation. The use of fewer tokens makes the problem-solving process much faster and cost-effective.

GPT-5.4 is now being rolled out gradually across ChatGPT and Codex. In ChatGPT, the Thinking version will be available to all ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Pro users. GPT-5.2 Thinking will still be available, but only for the next three months.
