Telkomsel Appoints Lionel Chng as Marketing Director, This is His New Line-up

JAKARTA - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk. (Telkom Indonesia) and Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte. Ltd. (Singtel), as shareholders of Telkomsel, officially appointed Lionel Chng as Telkomsel's Marketing Director, replacing Derrick Heng.

The assignment was officially announced at the Board of Directors Meeting of PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) which was held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Thus, the composition of the Telkomsel Board of Directors is as follows:

Lionel Chng has more than a decade of experience in the technology and telecommunications sector. He served as Managing Director of Customer Success at Singtel (2023–Jan 2026).

Previously at HP Inc, he also served as Head of Sales Operations (2022-2023), Chief of Staff Greater Asia (2019-2022), Managing Director Singapore (2016-2019), and Consumer Sales Director (2014-2016).

With the announcement of the new board of directors, Telkomsel reiterated its commitment to strengthen governance and strategic leadership in responding to industry dynamics and maintaining profitability and sustainable growth.

Telkomsel will continue to accelerate its growth and leadership in the industry by strengthening its core connectivity through continued investment in 4G/5G networks.

Furthermore, Telkomsel will also expand its convergence services and digital solutions for the consumer and enterprise segments, as well as optimize its technology and AI-based capabilities to create a more personalized and efficient customer experience.
