First Nubia Fold Revealed! Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Must Be Alert

Nubia is reportedly preparing two new foldable devices, including its first book-style model named Nubia Fold, as well as the latest generationnuma Flip 3. This information comes from the famous leaker Evan Blass (evleaks), who uploaded the official design of the two devices. Both are expected to launch in the first quarter of 2026.

Nubia Fold will be the company's first book folding device, making it a direct competitor to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series. In the image leak, this device appears to have an almost square-shaped inner screen when it opens. The back features a fairly large camera module with three sensors, signaling a focus on photography capabilities.

Although the side design of the device and cover screen has not been clearly visible, the additional scheme that Blass shared shows that the Nubia Fold will carry a large enough screen, as well as a side display when the phone is folded.

Meanwhile, Nubia Flip 3 appears as the third generation cmshell foldable phone from Nubia, and is likely to be the most designly interesting so far. In the image leak, the device appears in black/dark and white gray. The cover screen looks quite large, meeting almost the entire outer surface when the phone is folded, similar to the trend of modern compact foldable phones.

Nubia Flip 3 is also equipped with two cameras placed inside the cover screen area. The main sensor appears to be larger in size, while the second sensor function has not been revealed. Interestingly, there are two pin pogo on the back near the hinge of a feature that is not yet common on folding phones and is likely related to additional accessories.

The power/lock button and volume button are on the right side of the device, following the standard layout of the previous series.

Nubia Flip 2 itself launched in January 2025. Therefore, it is very likely that the Nubia Fold and Nubia Flip 3 will be officially introduced in early 2026. For now, the full specifications of the two devices have not been revealed.

Ahead of the closing of the report, Blass re-released an additional scheme featuring the Nubia Fold cover screen display, as well as the device's right-hand side design when it's in a folded position. This leak further confirms that Nubia is really ready to enter the premium foldable market with a more competitive form factor.
