Anthropic Invests IDR 836 Trillion In Funds To Build The Latest Data Center

JAKARTA Anthropic announced plans for the construction of the latest data center. This infrastructure will be developed through the latest collaboration with Fluidstack, a UK-based neocloud provider.

Launching from TechCrunch, this partnership includes plans to build facilities across the US to support Anthropic's computing needs. This plan requires 50 billion US dollars (IDR 836 trillion).

This latest data center will be located in Texas and New York. The facility is scheduled to start operating throughout 2026. Anthropic said that these two selected locations were built specifically to 'maximize performance load efficiency' Anthropic.

"Realizing this potential (AI) requires infrastructure that can support sustainable development on the front lines," said Anthropic CEO and Founder Dario Amodoi, quoted on Thursday, November 13.

Anthropic is increasingly in need of a data center because of the very high demands of computing, especially from the rock Artificial Intelligence (AI) model. This will be Anthropic's first major effort in building a special infrastructure.

This investment of Rp. 836 trillion is also considered to be in line with the company's internal income projection. Anthropic's revenue is estimated to reach US$70 billion (Rp1,170 trillion) and its positive cash flow will reach US$17 billion (Rp284 trillion) in 2028.

Although IDR 836 trillion is a large investment, this figure is still smaller than its competitor project, namely Meta. The company that oversees a number of social media is investing in the construction of a data center worth 600 billion US dollars (IDR 10,036 trillion).

These funds were disbursed for the next three years. Meanwhile, the partnership between Stargate and SoftBank, OpenAI, and Oracle spent USD 500 billion (IDR 8,363 trillion). This shows the amount of funds needed to develop AI.
