Huawei Launches Pura 80 Series With Premium Camera, Prices Start At IDR 14 Million

JAKARTA Huawei officially launched the Huawei Pura 80 Series series in Indonesia on Wednesday, September 17. This series brings two new models, namely Huawei Pura 80 Ultra and Huawei Pura 80 Pro.

Both launched with a focus on photography and aesthetic innovation in premium class. Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is specially designed for professional photographers and flagship technology enthusiasts who want the best performance.

This model won first place in DXOMARK Global for photo and video quality. This shows that the Pura 80 Ultra camera is indeed superior. On the other hand, the Huawei Pura 80 Pro targets premium users with the best night photo quality and elegant design.

This model offers an Ultra class equivalent performance, but in a more affordable format. One of the main innovations of this series is the First Switchable Industry Dual Telephoto Lens, a lens that allows layered zoom with sharp details.

In addition, this series is also equipped with a 1 inch Ultra Large Sensor sensor. This sensor is capable of capturing night portraits and complex lighting with colors that remain natural and accurate.

Huawei Pura 80 Ultra specifically introduced the first Switchable Dual Tele-lens in the industry. This technology provides 3.7-fold optical zoom flexibility to 9.4-fold in one camera module.

Meanwhile, the Huawei Pura 80 Pro comes with a 1-inch Ultra Lighting Camera to produce a clear low-light photo. This device is also equipped with Ultra Chroma Technology to reproduce the live and natural colors.

These two new phones are supported by the XMAGE Imaging System which can optimize texture, color, and light. Features such as Moving Picture and AI Multi Expose are also embedded in a more creative photography experience.

For durability, Pura 80 Pro uses 2nd-Gen Kunlun Glass which is resistant to fall up to 20 times, while Pura 80 Ultra uses 2nd-Gen Crystal Armor Kunlun Glass. Both are also equipped with 5170mAh batteries and 100W cable SuperCharge charging technology and 80W wireless.

Huawei Pura 80 Ultra at a price of IDR 22.9 million can compete with mobile phones such as the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Meanwhile, Huawei Pura 80 Pro, which is priced at IDR 14.9 million, can compete with the Samsung Galaxy S25+ and Xiaomi 15 Pro.
