JAKARTA - Geely managed to launch 11 satellites at once to the fourth orbital plane in the "General Future Mobility Constellation" or GEESATCOM project.
The launch was carried out from waters near Rizhao, Shandong Province, China. This success is a significant breakthrough in the development of Internet of Things (IoT) communication based on low-Earth orbit satellites (Low Earth Orbit/LEO).
This achievement is also in line with Zhejiang Geely Holding Group's vision, the automotive company and global technology that houses Geely Auto Indonesia, to build an integrated mobility ecosystem for the earth that will revolutionize the way people feel and experience transportation in the future.
The GEESATCOM project was developed and operated independently by Geespace, a commercial aerospace subsidiary under Geely Group. Previously, the company had successfully launched three orbital launches in 2022 and 2024.
The first phase of the project targets a total of 72 satellites and is planned to be completed by the end of 2025. With the latest launch, Geespace has now operated 41 satellites that are gradually expanding its global coverage capacity.

In the coming two months, Geespace will accelerate launches to reach 64 active satellites, realizing a broad global coverage IoT satellite network, except for polar areas.
Through GEESATCOM, Geespace has entered into partnerships with telecommunications operators in more than 20 countries in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Commercial trials show impressive results with a 99.15% success rate and network availability exceeding 99.97%, strengthening Geespace's reputation in international markets and proving the reliability of its operational competence.
