JAKARTA Microsoft has finally replaced Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) with a simpler black screen. Still referred to as BSOD, this display is officially available to Windows 11 users.
This change marks a revolution from the Windows system. For more than 30 years, Microsoft has maintained a blue screen display to show interference or critical problems being experienced by Windows-based devices.
This screen is very iconic, especially after Microsoft added sad face emoticons in Windows 8. In the latest version of BSOD, Microsoft not only replaces the color of the screen, but also removes the sad face emoticon.
The new look is very simple and more similar to the black screen that appears when Windows is updated. The latest BSOD also still displays problem information as before, but with a stopping code and system driver.

This data is much more specific because it can make it easier for users or the Information Technology (IT) team to identify the root causes of the problem. This more detailed information is expected to accelerate the diagnostic and repair process.
This update was first launched for Windows 11 users via Release Preview. In the coming weeks, all Windows 11 users will get the changes permanently.
BSOD isn't the only update added to Windows 11 the latest version. Microsoft is also adding another feature, one of which is Quick Machine Recovery (QMR) to recover machines that can't boot properly.
