JAKARTA - Throughout 2025, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) officially waives levies on players of the Digital Financial Assets and Crypto Assets Industry (IAKD) who have obtained permits.
The decision taken based on the approval of the Ministry of Finance is considered the right step, considering that the digital asset industry in Indonesia is still in the early stages of development.
Through this decision, the OJK set a levy tariff of 0 percent for 2025, and will impose a gradual increase in the following years.
Responding to this news, Tokocrypto CEO Calvin Kizana said that this is a form of regulatory support for the digital asset industry in Indonesia.
According to him, this exemption policy provides flexibility for crypto industry players, especially exchanges or crypto buying and selling platforms, which are still in the early stages of developing operational services and infrastructure.

"We welcome the policy from the OJK. Currently, we consider this policy to be a catalyst for growth for all crypto industry stakeholders in Indonesia," Calvin said in a statement received on Thursday, July 10.
He hopes that this policy can be an accelerator for the growth of the crypto industry in Indonesia, especially in creating a healthier business climate.
"With incentives or adjustment of the burden of levies, business actors in this sector can focus more on innovation and service development, and provide greater benefits for the community and ecosystem," he added.
