Vivo Y29t 5G Officially Launches In Malaysia With 90Hz Screen And 6,000mAh Jumbo Battery

Vivo secretly launched a new smartphone in Malaysia, namely the Vivo Y29t 5G. This device is the latest addition in the Y29 line which previously presented variants of Y29 (4G), Y29 5G, and Y29s 5G. Vivo Y29t 5G comes as a choice of 5G mobile phones that offer large screens, long-lasting batteries, and strong bodies, at affordable prices in the entry-level segment.

Vivo Y29t 5G has dimensions of 167.3 x 76.95 x 8.19 millimeters weighing 202 grams. This smartphone is equipped with IP64 certification which makes it resistant to dust and water splashes, as well as the military resilience standard MIL-STD-810H which guarantees resistance to collisions and shocks, making it suitable for fairly active daily use.

The screen that is carried is a 6.74-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. This screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate which makes the display more subtle when used to scroll through content or play games. The pixel density reaches 260 ppi with a brightness level of up to 570 nits when the brightness mode is high, so the screen remains quite clear even though it is used outdoors.

In the performance sector, Vivo Y29t 5G relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset combined with 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X type RAM. Its internal memory is available up to 256GB capacity using 5.1 emMC technology and is still equipped with a microSD slot for additional storage expansion.

Battery life is the main advantage of this smartphone, with a large battery capacity of up to 6,000mAh. Charging is done through fairly standard 15W cable charging in its class.

For photographic purposes, the Vivo Y29t 5G is equipped with a dual camera configuration on the back. The main camera uses a 50-megapixel resolution sensor, accompanied by an additional sensor of 0.08 megapixels which is likely to function for simple depth or macro effects. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel resolution selfie camera that supports the need for video calls and selfies.

This device runs the latest Android 15 based Funtouch OS operating system, which offers fresher interfaces and new features from Android. Security features come in the form of a fingerprint scanner attached to the body side (side-mounted CAPacitive fingerprint scanner). Vivo also complements this phone with dual SIM 5G support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, as well as USB-C ports for charging and data transfer.

Vivo Y29t 5G is priced at around 1,099 Ringgit Malaysia or equivalent to Rp4.2 million in the Malaysian market. This smartphone comes in two interesting color variants, namely Titanium Gold and Jade Green. Until now, there has been no official information whether Vivo will take this phone to the market of other countries besides Malaysia.

With solid specifications in class, especially large batteries and screens with a high refresh rate, the Vivo Y29t 5G has the potential to be an attractive choice for consumers who want a 5G smartphone at affordable prices but have complete features and durability.
