JAKARTA OPPO, a company from China, launched two new smartphones in Indonesia. The two entry-level devices officially introduced on Friday, June 20 are OPPO A5 and OPPPO A5x.

Carrying the Jagonya Persistent concept, these two devices are designed with military standards so they are resistant to any collision. In addition, these two devices have also pocketed IP65 certification so that they are resistant to water and dust.

"The design closed to this device is able to prevent the entry of particles such as sand, dust, and cloth fibers," OPPO said in a statement. "This smartphone is also resistant to fluids such as rainwater, drink spills, and water splashes."

Apart from the outside, OPPO also adds protection on the inside. Important components such as SIM traps get a silicon layer, while the USB-C port uses a waterproof stand so that the two phones are safe from moisture.

"Specific foam poles and pads are also used on the inside of the device to reduce vibrations and collisions. With a sturdy external and internal structure, these two devices minimize the risk of damage and extend usage life," the OPPO added.

OPPO A5 and A5x use 6,000mAh-capacity batteries. From the results of internal testing, these two devices can stream YouTube for 16.34 hours non-stop, make voice calls for 26.6 hours, and standby for up to 450 hours.

To ensure long-term use, OPPO offers up to five years of battery life. The health of A5 and A5x mobile batteries is confirmed to be more than 80 percent even though users have done the charging cycle up to 1,700 times.

With a large battery capacity, this phone is supported by fast charging of 45W SUPERVOOC so that the device does not need to be charged overnight. Users only need to wait 84 minutes to get 100 percent battery.

OPPO A5 and A5x use Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 and are present in three color pilihan. OPPO A5 is available in Aurora Green, Cloud White, and Midnight Purple, while OPPO A5x is available in Midnight Blue, Laser White, and Evening Mist Pink colors.

OPPO A5 offers a storage combination of 8GB + 128GB at a price of IDR 2.599 million and 8GB + 256GB at a price of IDR 2.899 million. Meanwhile, OPPO A5x offers a combination of 4GB + 128GB storage at a price of IDR 1.899 million and 6GB + 128GB at a price of IDR 2.099 million.

Alternatively, you can also look at phones like the Samsung Galaxy A06 and Redmi 14. Galaxy A06 uses a 5,000mAh battery capacity with 25W fast charging, while Redmi 14 offers a 5.500mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
