JAKARTA Spotify launched a new way to support musicians on its platform. The company launched a hub called Upcoming Releases to reach more listeners.
Upcoming Releases is located on the search page, lined up with hub Made for You, New Releases, Pop, and others. This new hub will feature albums from local or international artists that will be released in the near future.
This Hub is covered by Countdown Pages, the Countdown feature goes back ahead of the album's release. When users open a row of albums that will be released on the Upcoming Releases hub, they will see a Countdown display at the top.
"(This new hub) is dedicated specifically to highlighting the albums that will be released soon," Spotify said, quoted on Monday, May 26. "This hub provides a place for users to explore personalized recommendations based on their listening history."
When exploring the Upcoming Releases hub, users can save their album. They can also view the track list, released single streaming, clips from the song, related trade items, to the countdown in Countdown Pages.

If the user is not on Spotify when the album is released, the platform will provide notifications. This capability is only available to users who have saved their albums before its release. In addition, the ashes will enter the library automatically.
Unfortunately, this hub does not support all artists. Only artists with 5,000 active listeners over 28 days can add their album to Upcoming Releases. Artists also need to make Countdown Pages first.
Upcoming Releases can be accessed across countries, but it has not been added to the Search page. It is not yet known when users in Indonesia can see the hub.
