JAKARTA - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat/IOH) together with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs inaugurated the AI Experience Center (AIEC) located in Jayapura, Papua Province.
AIEC is a form of the government and Indosat's commitment to providing access and benefits of artificial intelligence (AI) technology for people in eastern Indonesia.
This facility will focus on two main sectors, namely education that will open access and quality of equitable learning, as well as in the health sector, where AI is expected to be more responsive to helping health workers with limited access.
"The presence of this center is a symbol of Indonesia's revival in the era of technology, where all children of the nation, including Papua, have equal access, opportunity, and competitiveness," said Deputy Minister of Communication and Trade Nezar Patria.
In collaboration with global partners such as the Huawei and the Wadhwani Foundation in presenting artificial intelligence technology and solutions, the AI Experience Center will be a catalyst for innovation, strengthening human resource development, and bringing benefits to society from the use of AI.
In addition to presenting the latest AI technology, AIEC Jayapura is also supported by the Indosat 5G network and is equipped with various supporting facilities such as training rooms, access to digital learning platforms, as well as open collaboration areas for students, professionals, and the local community.
