Microsoft Launches Copilot Wave 2, New Era Of Human Collaboration And AI Agent

JAKARTA - Microsoft announced the launch of the Copilot Wave 2 in the spring, which includes the updated Microsoft 365pilot app, to support the era of human-agent collaboration.

Announced during the Microsoft Build 2025 event, the launch of the Copilot Wave 2 was carried out to answer the need for a more sophisticated AI model, adaptive memory, and reasoning agents that can work together with humans.

"Copilot is now your window into the world of agents, with new capabilities that form the basis for the next phase," saysten Stallbaumer, GM, Microsoft Copilot 365 and Founder of WorkLab.

Along with this, Microsoft also introduced Researcher and Analyst, the first two AI agents, designed to help work supported by OpenAI's deep reasoning model. These two agents will roll out to customers at the new Agent Store starting today through the Frontier program.

Researchers help you deal with complicated and gradual research, as well as provide insight with better quality and accuracy than previously possible.

On the other hand, Analyst will think like skilled data scientists, so you can switch from raw data to insight in a matter of minutes.

"With AI and agents being able to solve the problem in an extraordinary way, the company can now increase capacity as never before," concluded Stallbaumer.
