IPhone Fold Will Be Priced At More Than IDR 33.5 Million, The Most Expensive Smartphone!

JAKARTA - The new rumors say that the iPhone Fold, Apple's long-awaited foldable phone, will have a very high price when it launches. Bahlan is estimated at more than 2.000 US dollars or around Rp. 33.6 million, in America.

According to a leak from the well-known leaker Instant Digital on Weibo, the price of the iPhone Fold is likely to range from 2,100 to 2,300 US dollars. Although it is not explained in detail how the estimation is calculated, this figure is said to be based on Apple's signature profit margin from the previous iPhone line.

This leaker, also known as Setsuna Digital, has a pretty good track record in terms of predictions of Apple products even though he has missed several times.

In its claim, Instant Digital said that the price was actually "not much more expensive than Samsung." In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold6 is currently sold from 1,899 to 2,259 US dollars for the 1TB variant. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip6 is in the range of 1,099 US$1,219 practically only half of the iPhone Fold's rumor version.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is slightly closer, priced from 1,799 to 1,919 US dollars. While the OnePlus Open is sold at 1,699 US dollars, it is still cheaper than the estimated iPhone Fold range.

However, given that the iPhone Fold is a new and premium product category for Apple, this high price is not surprising. Complex folding screen technology, precision hinge mechanisms, and additional research & development needs can indeed push prices up.
