Prime Video Starts Using AI-Producing Dubbing

JAKARTA Prime Video realizes that language differences can reduce the viewing experience for some users. Although subtitles are available, users will focus more on text on the screen.

In fact, focusing on scenes on the screen is much better than focusing on two things at once. Alternatively, Prime Video has offered films and series with the DUbbing option, but not all shows get that support.

Therefore, Prime Video introduces AI-powered clubbing for films and licensed series that do not have a clubbing. Selected views from several countries will use the dubbing produced by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

This new feature is in its launch stage, but in a still limited language. Prime Video only provides AI clubbing in English and Spanish Latin American for 12 films and series, including Mi Mamcury Lora and Long Lost.

"Dubbing with AI assistance is only available on titles that don't have voting support, and we'd love to explore new ways to make series and films easier to access and enjoy," said Raf Soltanovich, VP of Prime Video Technology.

Prime Video says that AI clubbing is a new approach method to reach users who have difficulty accessing certain shows on their platforms. This feature is based on the collaboration of professionals with AI.

Thus, this feature does not replace humans, but vice versa because humans control its features directly. Dubbing AI combines a number of human skills that allow language localization naturally.

This video streaming platform believes that clubbing will provide the best experience for its users, both those who have subscribed and those who just want to subscribe. In the future, the Amazon-owned platform will provide more language.
