JAKARTA - Activision launched the new Call of Duty multiplayer free access period of several days for fans of the first-person shooter game.

Free access is already running and will be accessible until 9 am PT or until 23:00 WIB on 24 May. Meanwhile, Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone Season 3, called Classified Arms, will launch on April 27.

Vanguard introduced a new multiplayer map called Mayhem. The map is set on the set of a 1950s monster movie, while the ongoing Operation Monarch event in Warzone unleashes King Kong and Godzilla on the Caldera.

The publisher has reportedly decided to postpone a Call of Duty game next year, which will mark the first time in nearly 20 years the series has missed an annual release.

According to a Bloomberg report published in February, the company chose to delay the release of a new Treyarch-led game after last year's Vanguard failed to live up to players' expectations.

One of the reasons is the pause feature in Call of Duty: Vanguard which is considered very short. So that players cannot stop the game overnight.

Details of Call of Duty Warzone 2 allegedly leaked online this week. Previous leaks have said that Warzone 2 will be released only for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
