YOGYAKARTA - There are many words written by smartphone users every day, ranging from instant messages on WhatsApp, writing statuses on social media or others.

Every day smartphone users use their devices to communicate with people who cannot be met in person, and write a lot of text on their smartphones every day.

Quoted from Makeuseof, the smartphone that you use to write text continues to store and learn the vocabulary you use often, both standard vocabulary and vocabulary that has spelling errors.

Furthermore, the new stored vocabulary will be used to make predictions, if you activate the text prediction feature on your smartphone keyboard to write instant messages or other texts.

Your smartphone can also suggest misspelled text, when a user writes an instant message. As a result, text prediction which was originally intended to speed up the user's writing of messages, instead suggests a non-standard vocabulary.

The easiest way to avoid this problem is to disable text prediction. However, if you are used to using this feature, you can overcome it with the steps that have been prepared by the VOI team below.

How to Delete Learned Vocabulary from Android Keyboard

As explained earlier, the smartphone that you use always learns each text that you use frequently to enter in the text predictions that are suggested to its users.

The vocabulary is then stored in the Gboard feature or personal dictionary on your smartphone. To ensure that the wrong text prediction appears in every text you write via the Android keyboard, the user can delete the incorrect vocabulary.

The first step you can do is go to the "Settings" menu or the settings on your smartphone, and click the "System" menu available in it.

Next, click the "Language & Input" menu, and click the "Keyboard" option. You will be given a number of options regarding the feature you want to set up, one of which is "Gboard".

Click "Gboard", and in the settings column below it, select the "Dictionary" menu. Next you will be given a number of dictionary options that you want to set. Click "Personal Dictionary", and select the language you are using.

Next, you will be shown all the vocabulary you use in Indonesian. You can also select vocabulary that has misspellings, click the "Junk" icon to delete it.

Apart from viewing the vocabulary list, you can also search for incorrect vocabulary, and it often appears in your keyboard text predictions. Once you find the vocabulary, you can click on the trash icon as before.

That's how to remove vocabulary that has spelling errors, but is stored by Gboard and suggested by the Android system when you use the text prediction feature.

You can turn off the text feature, or delete vocabulary that has spelling errors, using the steps above, so as not to disturb you when using your smartphone.
