JAKARTA - After becoming a topic of discussion on social media, Epic Games has now officially credited Among Us developer Innersloth in an update to Impostors Mode in Fortnite.

In its official blog post, Epic Games added Impostors as a game mode inspired by Among Us from Innersloth. However, Epic Games does not explain more than that, only about game updates.

"v18.20 brings improvements to Impostors, a game mode inspired by Innersloth's Among Us," said Epic Games as quoted from Nintendo Life, Wednesday, October 13.

Epic Games is now officially crediting Among Us developer Innersloth,

Not long ago, the official Among Us Twitter account immediately responded regarding this, and both parties agreed to work together on something fun.

However, of course this is good news for Innersloth. The reason is, when Epic Games first released the new game mode on Fortnite, a number of members of the individual Innersloth team expressed their disappointment at what the company was doing.

In fact, Epic Games did not ask for permission or collaborate with Innersloth at all. Impostors Mode originally entered Fortnite in August. After its release, the game mode quickly gained the attention of various members of the Among Us development team.

At the time, the developers pointed out various similarities between the two games which raised questions about Impostor's map design, overarching theme, and terminology used.

Impostors Mode Update in Fortnite

Meanwhile, Epic Games is also talking about changes to Impostors Mode. As part of the update, the mode now includes a Role Bias feature that allows players to set a preference for whether they prefer to be Impostors or Agents in the game.

Game mode will now also show playlists with open voice chat, similar to Among Us. The changes shouldn't affect fans who don't want to engage in open chat too much, as Epic says that players who prefer no voice communication can still opt for the Impostors playlist with only Quick Chat enabled.
