Apple Is Expected To Launch IPhone 13 Next September, Here Are The Advantages And Disadvantages

JAKARTA - The leak of the iPhone 13 has become a "rollercoaster", providing very good news but also some worrying. Now Apple's iPhone 13 release plans have leaked and contain surprises.

In a note to investors seen by MacRumors, influential investment analyst Wedbush Securities has revealed that Apple plans to launch the iPhone 13 sometime in the "third week of September". In addition, Wedbush also revealed that Apple's iPhone 13 Pro model will have a very significant increase in storage.

It is estimated, the third week of September puts the iPhone 13 to be released between 13-17. Historically Apple announced new iPhones on Tuesdays and launched them (pre-orders) on Fridays. If Wedbush is right, this will likely create a launch event Tuesday, September 14th with pre-orders opening on Friday, September 17th.

Gordon Kelly, Senior Contributor of Forbes, said Apple wanted to match the date and number of the iPhone and announced the iPhone 13 on Monday, September 13. However, Apple missed this opportunity last year by announcing the iPhone 12 on Tuesday, October 13.

As for the surprise, unlike other leaks, Wedbush confirmed that the iPhone 13 lineup will be launched with the 1TB iPhone 13 Pro flagship. This is twice the capacity of the current iPhone 12 Pro's top-tier storage options.

Additionally, this claim has added credibility after Bloomberg respected Apple insider Mark Gurman tipped the new 'ProRes' video recording option for the iPhone 13 Pro model last week. ProRes is said to use significantly more storage than current 4K video footage. This makes the iPhone 13 1TB essential for video enthusiasts and professionals alike.

However, the biggest benefit of this for most users will likely be the trickle-down effect with a potential 512GB mid-tier model. Given that 128GB was only introduced as an entry-level tier last year, I can't see that change but the 128GB/512GB/1TB option has massive selling potential at every price point.

Given what we already know about Apple's new iPhones, this could be a deal maker. While it's the 1TB storage option that could make headlines, another estimate, the iPhone 13 will also have a big new camera, a bigger battery, faster charging, next-generation WiFi and on the Pro model, there's a globally upgraded 5G and ProMotion display.

But there are also bad. Apple makes the iPhone 13 price very high which could affect its sales cycle. This is not good news for iPhone fans.
