JAKARTA – More and more information about the upcoming release of FIFA 22 has been confirmed by EA Sports over the past few weeks. For example details about the release date and pre-order bonuses were all revealed.
FIFA 22 is the latest installment in EA Sports' popular FIFA video game franchise, with the official gameplay trailer and note notes released earlier this week confirming a number of new gameplay features such as HyperMotion technology. This new feature according to EA is 'the biggest animation refresh in FIFA history'.
EA also confirmed a number of new gameplay features in the trailer including Machine Learning, Player Humanisation, Composed Ball Control, True Ball Physics, New Attacking Tactics, Explosive Sprint, Goalkeeper Rewrite, and many more.
The release date for FIFA 22 has also been confirmed by EA Sports, however the date you can actually play the game may change depending on the edition of the game you wish to purchase.
For the first time since FIFA 15, there will only be two editions of FIFA available for pre-order - the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition. Previous years like FIFA 21 consisted of three - Standard, Champion and Ultimate Edition.
FIFA 22 will be released in the UK and worldwide on Friday, 1 October 2021. The FIFA 22 Standard Edition will follow a worldwide release date, however, due to the four-day early access available with the Ultimate Edition, you can play matches starting Monday, 27 September 2021.
FIFA 22 is available for pre-order now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Stadia, and PC.
However, bad news for some gamers, with the presence of HyperMotion technology only in the next-gen version of the game, to be played on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, or PS5.
Unlike last year, Dual Entitlement is not included with the FIFA 22 Standard Edition, so those with PS4 or Xbox One who wish to upgrade to the next generation console after FIFA 22's launch will need to pre-order. Ultimate Edition to be able to upgrade to the next-gen version of FIFA 22 for free.
Here's a comparison of the Standard and Ultimate Edition pre-order bonuses!
