JAKARTA - Gemini AI in Southeast Asia through the Gemini Report: Southeast Asia 2026 revealed that Gemini AI now has approximately 900 million users from 230 countries.

In the report, Indonesia was named the country that most often asked Gemini to generate photos on their platform, with 9 million requests to generate photos to Nano Banana per day.
"Every day, Gemini AI produces 9 million images to realize the ideas of users in Indonesia. This figure is the highest in Southeast Asia," said Sapna Chadha, Vice President of Southeast Asia and South Asia Frontier Google.
Not only that, as many as 82% of Indonesian users also access Gemini AI more often through smartphones to take photos of sudden ideas that appear in their heads.
With these findings, Google said that Indonesian users make Gemini AI their assistant in various creative activities.
Besides Indonesia, each other country also has its own characteristics when using Gemini AI on their devices.
Vietnam, for example, users in this country use Gemini a lot to ask about academics, including math, coding, and exam learning.
Meanwhile, Singapore is the country with the highest adoption in Southeast Asia, followed by the Philippines which makes Gemini AI an assistant in terms of lifestyle, ranging from making decorations to food recipes.
