JAKARTA - The microblogging giant, Twitter has just launched automatic captions. This feature was launched as a complement to the voice tweet feature.
It is known that this feature was introduced by Twitter in 2020. This feature allows users to upload tweets in a voice similar to WhatsApp's voice message.
The voice feature is an alternative to having to type text, useful for users who want to deliver messages longer than 140 characters. However, the problem with this tweeting feature is that it is difficult to catch those who have hearing loss.
Quoted from Ubergizmo, Sunday, July 18, the good news is that Twitter has now launched automatic captions for voice tweets for global users.
"Now when you record a voice tweet, the text will be automatically generated and appear. To view the text on the web, click the CC button", said Twitter.
We took your feedback and we’re doing the work. To improve accessibility features, captions for voice Tweets are rolling out today.

How to use it is quite easy. The user just needs to record the voice tweet as usual and then other users have to click the CC button to see the text.
However, this feature is only available on the Twitter web. If the user sees the audio tweet in the mobile app, it will not work.
Also, the accuracy of this text seems to depend on the audio quality and accent of the user who made the voice tweet. Possibly, it could have darted from what was said.
At least, this feature makes it easier for Twitter users who have difficulty hearing and it is hoped that in the future the company with the blue bird logo will continue to improve the ability of the automatic text feature.
