JAKARTA - After being leaked first, Clubhouse finally officially released the text feature on its platform. Called Blackchannel, the new messaging system will allow users to chat more freely with other users via text. Yes, the same as features that are generally found on social media platforms.
Through a blog post uploaded last Wednesday, this audio-based application announced the presence of Blackchannel. In the official release, the company explains that Blackchannel will allow users to chat via text outside of streaming audio or during streaming.
In an application update that has been launched, Clubhouse explains that the Backchannel feature has five functions. Among other things, discussing in the room that you created in real-time, sending and receiving questions from participants, thanking someone, scheduling events, and chatting directly with friends in this application.
“As part of our development process, Clubhouse periodically explores and pilots potential features. These new functions are often part of the app, sometimes not. We don't want to comment on potential features," said Clubhouse founder via The Verge, Friday, July 16.
Until now, it is still unclear the scale of the launch of this new feature. The reason is, the feature is only available to the public for a short time, for the company to withdraw.
