Jakarta - Apple significantly expanded its support document to warn of the side effects of its devices on a number of implantable medical devices, which are implanted into the human body.

In March 2021, Apple issued a support document that did not underestimate the risk of magnetism in the iPhone 12 on the medical device:

"Although all iPhone 12 models contain more magnets than previous iPhone models, they are not expected to pose a greater risk of magnetic interference to medical devices than previous iPhone models."

The document recommends keeping iPhone and MagSafe “accessories” a safe distance from your device so that they are more than 6 inches / 15 cm or more than 12 inches / 30 cm apart, if charging wirelessly."

This updated document has expanded and now recommends that the following products, should be kept safely away from medical devices such as implantable pacemakers and defibrillators.
