Komdigi Checks Administrative Documents for the Selection of 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz Frequencies

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital has carried out a clarification process on the appropriateness of the substance of documents from 3 (three) telecommunications operators who submitted documents for application for participation in the selection on the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz radio frequency bands.

From the results of the examination, there were notes on administrative documents from the three selection participants. The results of this administrative evaluation will be announced officially to the public through the official website of the Ministry of Communication and Digital.

This administrative evaluation stage is carried out through two main mechanisms: first, the Examination of the Completeness of the Application Documents for Participation to ensure that all formal requirements are met.

Meanwhile, the second is the Verification of Administrative Documents which aims to check the validity and appropriateness of documents submitted by the selection participants.

"We are fully committed to carrying out all stages of this selection by prioritizing the principles of transparency, legal certainty, and accountability," said Minister of Communication and Information Meutya Hafid in his statement on Thursday, June 25.

The selection process for users of the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz radio frequency bands for the implementation of mobile cellular networks in 2026 began on April 23, 2026.

Currently, the strategic process has officially entered the administrative evaluation stage, where the Selection Team is examining the application documents submitted by all participants.

Participants who are declared successful will be entitled to continue to the next selection stage, while participants who do not pass are declared eliminated.

Meutya emphasized that the frequency spectrum is a limited natural resource, but has tremendous potential to drive digital economic progress.

"Through this transparent and accountable selection process, we want to ensure that the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz bands can be optimized to provide more equitable and quality internet access for all Indonesian people," he concluded.
