JAKARTA - TikTok and Roblox have asked the Ministry of Communication and Digital to fulfill its obligations in implementing child protection rules in the digital space or PP Tunas.

Minister of Communication and Information Meutya Hafid revealed that both platforms have been asked to immediately complete the compliance aspects that have not been fulfilled, as has been done by Bigo Live, X, and Meta.

"We have previously given a warning to TikTok so that it is not an inspection but a warning to TikTok and Roblox, which previously had partial compliance to immediately meet its compliance," Meutya said on Thursday, April 9.

The government, continued Meutya, is currently still giving both platforms time to show full commitment. The deadline given falls on April 10, 2026.

"We are still waiting because there is a request for time until the 10th, that is, tomorrow, to then convey the action plan from both platforms," he explained.

This step is part of the government's ongoing supervision of digital platforms, in line with the implementation of increasingly tightened digital space protection rules.

Meanwhile, Meutya said that there were five platforms that had adjusted to PP TUNAS, including Bigo Live, X, and Meta which oversees Facebook, Instagram, and Threads.

But on the other hand, Komdigi has issued a sanction in the form of a warning letter to Google as the parent company of YouTube, which based on monitoring by the Director General of Digital Space Supervision has not shown good faith to adjust its platform to existing regulations in the near future.
