Intel Appoints Santhosh Viswanathan as Head of Asia Pacific and Japan Region

JAKARTA - Intel Corporation announced the appointment of Santhosh Viswanathan as the company's Vice President and Managing Director for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.

With the expansion of his leadership from India to the APJ region, Viswanathan will lead the overall business, brands, and customer interactions in both regions, as well as unify the region in a single integrated leadership structure.

Viswanathan will be responsible for driving business growth, strengthening interactions with customers and partners, and advancing Intel's strategic priorities in one of Intel's most dynamic and diverse regions.

Viswanathan is an experienced leader at Intel with more than two decades. He has a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, as well as an MBA.

Most recently he served as Vice President and Managing Director for Intel India, where he played a key role in strengthening India's position as a key growth engine for the company.

Previously, he also led Intel's operations in Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, and has held various regional leadership positions in the APJ region.

Early in his career, Viswanathan served as Global Director of Operations at Intel USA, where he led sales operations strategy and planning for the global sales organization as well as supporting various major transformation initiatives across markets.

With this new assignment, Viswanathan said he was excited to take on this broader responsibility and work more closely with our teams and customers to open up new opportunities, drive growth, and create long-term impact across the region.
