JAKARTA - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) launched Indosat HiFi Air, a practical and flexible Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) based home internet service solution.
At home, this service can be used for family communication through video calls and instant messages, connections for security needs such as CCTV to monitor parents in their hometowns.
SVP-Head of FWA Business Indosat, Beka Faryan Riangka highlighted that there are still more than 11 million homes in Indonesia that have not been connected to fiber optics (FTTH).
Through Hi-Fi Air which utilizes 4G and 5G mobile networks, Indosat is committed to providing an alternative home internet without the need for cable installation and without waiting for the installation process.
"Well, this is a solution for all friends and all Indonesian people who currently do not have fiber access can use Hi-Fi Air as a home internet solution," said Beka on Friday, February 27 at the Indosat office, Jakarta.
HiFi Air has many advantages, practical installation. Unlike conventional fiber services, the HiFi Air device does not need installation and can be immediately active. The device can also be carried when moving house or going home.
The HiFi Air device is even claimed to be able to connect 32 to 128 devices simultaneously, depending on the type of device.
Especially for the 5G ready variant, the device is equipped with Wi-Fi 6 Dual Band technology so that the connection remains stable even if many devices are used at the same time.

Indosat HiFi Air 4G starts from IDR 399,000, including a 50GB initial quota for 30 days. Indosat HiFi Air 5G ready starts from IDR 1,499,000, including a 75GB initial quota for 30 days.
