JAKARTA - Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, has officially completed a Series E funding round with a value of up to 20 billion US dollars or around Rp325 trillion.
This value exceeds the initial funding target of 15 billion US dollars (Rp251 trillion). A number of global investors also participated in this funding, including Valor Equity Partners, Stepstone Group, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Qatar Investment Authority, MGX, and Baron Capital Group.
Meanwhile, NVIDIA and Cisco Investments are listed as strategic investors who support the strengthening of the xAI computing infrastructure.

xAI stated that this funding will be used to accelerate the development of large-scale AI infrastructure, including the development of the world's largest GPU cluster.
"This funding will accelerate the development of our world-class infrastructure, enable the rapid development and launch of transformative AI products that reach billions of users, while driving breakthrough research to advance xAI's core mission: Understanding the Universe," the company wrote.
By the end of 2025, xAI claims to have operated more than one million NVIDIA H100-equivalent GPUs through its AI supercomputers Colossus I and II.
Throughout 2025, xAI recorded a number of important achievements, including the launch of the Grok 4 language model series developed using the Colossus training infrastructure.
In addition, xAI is expanding its product capabilities through Grok Voice, an AI-based voice agent that supports real-time conversations in dozens of languages and has been used by millions of users through the Grok app and Tesla vehicles.
From the user side, xAI recorded a reach of around 600 million monthly active users spread across the Grok app and the X platform. The company also introduced Grok Imagine, a high-speed image and video generation model with multimodal capabilities.
xAI also integrates Grok into the X platform to process and understand global events in real-time, leveraging the strongest AI models the company has to date.
Going forward, xAI confirmed that Grok 5 is currently entering the training phase. The company plans to launch a variety of new AI products for consumers and the enterprise segment that utilize the Grok, Colossus, and X ecosystems.
