JAKARTA Samsung announced the launch of One UI 8.5 in beta for developers. This Firmware comes with a number of improvements, from new features to enhanced security.
The first update introduced to this firmware is an update to the Photo Assist feature. Users will be able to easily edit photos using the Photo Assist feature in a sustainable manner without the need to save every revision.
This updated feature also allows users to review all their creations in the editing history. Once completed, they are free to choose favorite photos to save. This makes the editing process much smoother.
The content sharing process is also made smoother with improvements to Quick Share. In One UI 8.5, the feature can recognize the person in the photo and can suggest direct delivery to related contacts.
In terms of connectivity, One UI 8.5 will present a new cross device feature that makes device management easier. One of them is Audio Broadcast to facilitate communication with devices around that support LE Audio.

Broadcast audio allows users to broadcast their voices using the Galaxy microphone, not just audio from media sources. This feature is very useful when users travel on group tours or events that require fast communication.
Next, there is Storage Share which comes with greater flexibility. This feature features files from other Galaxy devices, such as tablets and PCs, directly in the My File app. It also allows access to files on mobile phones from other Samsung devices, including TV.
The Beta One UI 8.5 program will be available for the first time for users of the Galaxy S25 series in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, UK, and the US. The trial period has started since December 8. Interested users can register to join through the Samsung Members app.
