JAKARTA - Google's plan to apply payments to its most popular photo management app Google Photos is not just a discourse. Starting June 1, 2021, the service will be charged quite expensive.

Launching Gadget360, Monday, May 24, the company limits 15GB per user account to high-resolution images and videos, but users can still send all their photos to online servers for free.

Prices for extra space are offered from £1.59 or around £1,308 per month for 100GB, £2.49 or the range £5.58 for 200GB. While 2TB is charged 7.99 pounds or worth Rp162,322.

Please note that any images uploaded before June 1 will not count towards that 15GB limit. Once they reach the June 1 limit, users will have to pay to add more storage through the Google One service.

In fact, this is not new news, it was known in November last year, the company made the announcement without mentioning any reason. Rumors are circulating, Google has run out of server space, or just want to sell a Google One subscription for extra storage.

Here's how to export a backup of your Google Photos account:

1. Open Google Photos on your desktop and click Settings.

2. Scroll down to the "Export your data" section, and click the Backup button below it.

3. On the next screen, select your export frequency (one export in this case), file type for export (.zip or .tgz) and maximum file size.

4. Click on the Create Export button. Note that it may take at least a few hours for Google to create your backup files. You'll get an email when your file is ready for download.
