JAKARTA - Apple has again released limited edition accessories for the iPhone, this time in the form of an ergonomic grip which also functions as a stand and is specially designed to help disabled users. This accessorial was created in collaboration with Los Angeles designer and artist Bailey Hikawa.

Previously, Apple had partnered with Japanese fashion homes to launch the iPhone Pocket. Now, his latest collaboration focuses on more functional and inclusive goals. Hikawa, known for its various creations of unique design iPhone accessories, designed this product with clearer accessibility orientations.

The accessor named Hikawa Phone Grip & Stand is priced at $70 and requires an iPhone that supports MagSafe. Apple offers two color choices:

Chartreuse bright lime green

Recycled Crater gray with a texture resembling a sickle

Grip ini dirancang melalui proses wawancara yang mendalam untuk mendukung berbagai cara memegang iPhone sambil mengurangi usaha untuk mempertahankannya tetap stabil, kata Hikawa.

Apple calls this new accessory a part of the 40th anniversary of the company's accessibility design. Sarah Herrlinger, Apple's Head of Accessibility, told ELLE Decor that this grip is an extension of Apple's commitment to delivering inclusive products to all users.

"It didn't take long for MagSafe to realize that MagSafe has great potential in providing accessories that are really beneficial to our community," said Herrlinger. This is just one of many accessories that can solve unique problems for some users.

This accessori has a large shape resembling parts of the jagged wheel, made from soft textured premium silicon, and is designed to adjust the various levels of hand-held force.

Even though he has made various iPhone accessories for a long time, this is Hikawa's first time specifically designing products for accessibility purposes. He admitted that this collaboration greatly influenced the direction of his work.

"This really changes the course of my work," Hikawa said. This is the beginning of more products for different types of bodies and needs.

Hikawa explained that she was very satisfied when the user said that her accessories helped, were comfortable, or even made them wonder how they could live without it before.

This accessor is easy to remove because it uses the MagSafe connection. However, its large size makes the iPhone with this grip almost impossible to put in your pocket. Hikawa added, "We made casings for the hands, not for the pockets."

At the time of writing, the limited edition grip was not yet available in Apple's physical stores and had not appeared in Apple stores in Europe. However, this accessory can be purchased online in the US.
