Apple Releases IOS 18.7.2, Special Security Patch To Strengthen IPhone

JAKARTA Apple launched a minor update after launching iOS 26.1 on November 3, 2025. The company expanded iOS 18.7.2 to iPhone and iPadOS users 18.7.2 to iPad users.

The Operations System (OS) was launched specifically for users who have not made an upgrade to iOS 26. Launching from 9to5mac, iOS 18.7.2 comes as a security patch with a number of improvements.

In Apple's release note, this update includes security improvements to vital issues. Therefore, users who have not used iOS 26 or later are advised to install the update.

Through this update, Apple wants to ensure its devices are more protected and avoid the latest vulnerabilities. Security patches are presented to focus on the security aspect, not the launch of new features.

For details, iOS 18.7.2 includes improvements to security holes in Apple's default apps and features. Fixed gaps are in apps such as the App Store, Find My, and Notes, while the features include Audio and Cameras.

If users are still satisfied with using iOS 18, they can keep the OS by installing an 18.7.2. At least, this iOS version will keep the user's iPhone protected.

However, if users want to switch to a newer and more sophisticated version, they can install iOS 26.1. As usual, the release of x.1 usually comes as a security patch by repairing most bugs on the device.
