JAKARTA Amazon managed to break the Guinness World's Records. The company set a record for the Most Applications Made In An On-site Creative AI (Gen AI) Event.

This record was achieved after Amazon and students in West Java produced more than 10,821 unique Gen AI applications. This record-breaking effort is the culmination of student and teacher learning journeys in exploring Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based creative potential.

The event took place in schools and at Amazon Think Big Space which was at SMKN 1 Karawang on 13 October. Before the record was recorded, students brought concept ideas and promotions that had been developed previously.

Meanwhile, teachers and volunteers helped realize these ideas into applications using PartyRock, an Amazon Bedrock platform. This record-breaking process is carried out with very strict Guinness Worlds Records verification standards.

This includes ensuring that all the applications produced are truly functioning, unique, and passed by the Guinness Worlds Records judges. This success proves the ability of innovation of young Indonesian talents.

Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development of the Republic of Indonesia Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono expressed his appreciation. He said that, "These young innovators have shown that Indonesia is ready to welcome the digital future."

Yudhoyono added that when the younger generation is equipped with proper equipment and training, there are many extraordinary things they can do at the global level. He also thanked Amazon Web Services for its dedication to developing digital talent in Indonesia.
