JAKARTA Google officially launched the Search Live feature, but it's still limited to users in the US. With this feature, users can search for information from the web in real-time, but in the form of sound.

This feature works like an assistant to Artificial Intelligence (AI), but in a working way similar to Gemini Live. Not only answering questions in real-time, this technology also provides relevant web links so users can find out more.

"Today, Search Live is officially launched in English in the US, without the need to subscribe to Labs," Google said, quoted on Thursday, September 25. "When you activate the Live feature with Search, you can have interactive voice conversations in AI Mode."

To use this feature, users only need to open the Google app on their Android or iOS devices. After that, tap the Live button, similar to Gemini Live, at the bottom of the search bar.

Users can ask questions verbally while activating their rear or front cameras. Later, the AI assistant will display search results that cover the visual context of what is visible on the screen.

Users can ask various questions, for example how to remove stubborn stains from white clothes, how to make matcha, or other practical things. When asking a question, make sure the camera shows the object being asked.

This feature is also integrated into the Google Lens application. This allows two-way conversations while sharing the camera display directly. It is not yet known when this feature will be available in other countries.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
