Oppo Ready To Launch ColorOS 16 On October 15, Present With Liquid Glass UI Design And New Features

JAKARTA - Oppo has finally confirmed the launch schedule for its newest operating system, ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. After previously releasing the beta version earlier this year, stable releases turned out to be slower than expected. A number of competitors such as Samsung, Motorola, and Sony have started rolling out the stable version of Android 16, but Oppo users still have to wait a little longer.

According to a recent report from Smartprix, Oppo will launch ColorOS 16 globally on October 15, 2025. This means that users still need to wait almost a month before they can feel this big update.

Interestingly, Oppo is rumored to be launching Find X9 and Find X9 Pro on the same day. The two newest flagships will be the first devices to directly run the stable version of ColorOS 16 from the manufacturer.

Google itself released stable Android 16 in early June, faster than usual schedules. This gives other Android phone manufacturers plenty of time to customize their custom interface. However, Oppo seems to still pick up a rhythm similar to last year when releasing ColorOS 15, which is also coming later.

ColorOS 16 is said to bring many changes, both in terms of design and performance. One of the most prominent is the presence of Liquid Glass UI Design, inspired by iOS 26. This design presents a premium display with transparent glass effect, dynamic animation, and futuristic aesthetics that make daily interactions feel more responsive and lively.
