JAKARTA - In the series of Connect 2025 events, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced Oakley Meta Vanguard, a new line of AI Performance glasses designed for high-intensity sports.
Oakley Meta Vanguard comes as a continuation of the launch of Oakley Meta HSTN earlier this year, which opens a new category of AI Performance glasses.
In presenting Oakley Meta Vanguard, the tech giant is working with EssilorLuxottica to deliver wearable technology that is able to support extreme activity, from marathon runs to cycling on rough terrain.
"We designed Oakley Meta Vanguard for high-intensity sports with cameras ready for action, integration with fitness apps, immersive audio to improve your training, and more," said Zuck.
These glasses are equipped with a Three-Point Fit system from Oakley and are equipped with three replaceable nose pads, including low-bridge and high-bridge installations for customizable comfort, even when wearing a helmet or bicycle hat.
These glasses use Oakleytan PRIZM lenses with a dusty and water-resistant wrapperground (IP67) design, and are designed to be comfortable to wear with a helmet or sports hat.
In addition, there are also various advanced features, including a 12-megapixel camera with a 12-degree wide angle that can record videos up to 3K resolution, immersive audio with an open-ear speaker, and five microphones with wind noise damping.
