JAKARTA - Google announced a major update on the Gemini app by presenting a new model of creation and image editing capabilities from Google DeepMind.

This feature is designed to give users greater control in creating perfect images while maintaining character display consistency from one image to another.

Our main focus is to keep the character look consistent. We realized that when editing a photo of ourselves or people we know well, even small imperfections mean a picture that is "similar but not exactly the same" feels less precise," Google said in its announcement.

Google says users can already try out the updated image editing capabilities in the Gemini app starting today.

All images made or edited in the Gemini app include visible watermarks, as well as an invisible SyntID digital watermark, to clearly show that the image was made by AI.
