Google Launches Free Google AI Pro Packages For Students, Here's How To Register

JAKARTA Google announced the launch of free Gemini services for students for 12 months. Students can now access a number of Google products through the Google AI Pro package.

Announced by APAC's Head of Marketing for Education, Stuart Miller, the Google AI Pro service can only be accessed for free by students over 18 years old. This service was only launched in five countries, one of which was Indonesia.

Other countries that can access the Google AI Pro package for free include the US, Japan, Korea and Brazil. By subscribing to this package, students can access six popular Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based features from Google.

"We are now offering a 12-month (free) offer from the Google AI Pro program to all 18-year-old students in Indonesia," Stuart said in a press briefing held on Thursday, August 8. "With Gemini Pro, all students will have access to very good tools."

Google AI Pro services not only increase student access restrictions in the Gemini application, but also in other applications such as NotebookLM. Students will also get other benefits, the following are the details.

How to Register for Free Google AI Pro Packages

To become a customer of this package, make sure that you are 18 years of age and over and have an active university email. This email is needed for the status verification process as a student.

In addition, you must have a personal Google account and not or not subscribe to any Google package. Before submitting a subscription, make sure that you have linked the payment method to the Google Play Store.
