JAKARTA Meta will make WhatsApp more integrated with Facebook and Instagram applications. This will be seen in the next Android version of the WhatsApp application update.

Based on WABetaInfo's findings, Meta will provide the ability to import profile photos from Facebook or Instagram on WhatsApp.

With this feature, users can use the same profile photo as other Meta applications.

This feature is already visible in the WhatsApp beta Android test version 2.25.21.23. When the user opens the profile and taps the edit option, they will see six options to access the image.

Some of these options include Cameras, Gallerys, Avatars, Instagram, Facebook, and AI Images. If you tap on one of the applicability options, profile photos from other apps will be installed on WhatsApp after confirmation.

This will simplify the profile setting process. Previously, if users wanted to import photos from Facebook or Instagram, they had to download their photos first, but now that doesn't need to be done again.

This capability can be accessed once users link WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram accounts to the Meta Account Center. It is not yet known when this feature will be rolled out to all users in the public version.

WhatsApp has not been seen testing its features in the iOS app version. Although already visible in the beta tester version, Meta can stop testing its features at any time and cancel the launch of the feature.
