JAKARTA - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) has implemented a Nokia Energy Efficiency solution based on artificial intelligence (AI) to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions in all of its radio access network (RAN) in Indonesia.
This technology is part of Nokia's Autonomous Networks, which can be applied on various network devices, thereby reducing costs and carbon footprint without reducing service quality.
By utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning algorithms, this Nokia-owned system is able to analyze data movements directly, so that Indosat can manage the network more efficiently and sustainably.
"This collaboration reflects Indosat's commitment to sustainability and innovation, by utilizing AI that not only improves network performance, but also suppresses emissions and overall energy use," said Desmond Cheung, Director and Chief Technology Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison in his official broadcast.
He also emphasized that this collaboration with Nokia continued its previous success, where AI-based solutions proved effective in reducing energy consumption in the Indosat network.
