JAKARTA Google Photos meluncurkan kemampuan yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas foto. Fitur ini dapat mengubah foto dengan format Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) menjadi High Dynamic Range (HDR).

Thanks to the launch of this feature, users can make old images or images with a standard format look more modern. This feature will maintain important photo quality and metadata in it, even after the photo is edited.

"Now, HDR photos can maintain a full dynamic range and important HDR metadata even after editing with features such as Photo Unblor, Magic Eraser, and Portrait Light. This means edited photos will maintain their contrast and spotlight," Google said, quoted via Google Photos Help Page on Wednesday, July 2.

Thus, users do not need to worry about losing the quality of HDR when editing their photos. Whatever the device is used, Google Photos will maintain its original details by increasing its brightness and contrast.

Google also added a new tool called Ultra HDR. This tool is launched so that users can adjust the brightness of their photos more accurately. The final result of the photo will look much better than the HDR-formed photo.

"To get a perfect look for your photos and style, you can also edit image brightness levels through a new Ultra HDR tool," Google explained.

The company also describes changes to the HDR menu on Google Photos. The menu is no longer named HDR because Google has changed it to Tone. According to Google, this name change reflects more about its function.
